Design and Display

The business has toned down the gaming aesthetics significantly since the Black Shark 3 series. It’s fair to say the phone has a more mainstream appearance. Instead of the standard bezels seen on most gaming computers, the Black Shark 4 series now has a punch-hole cutout on the front.

A 6.67” FHD+ AMOLED panel is found on both the vanilla and Pro models. Samsung Display’s E4 screen is what you’re looking at. The monitor has a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and a touch sampling rate of 720Hz, which is very impressive. The monitor also has DCI-P3 coverage of 111 percent, peak intensity of 1,300 nits, MEMC, DC Dimming, and SGS eye care certification.

The vanilla model’s rear panel is also simpler, as it lacks the LED lighting seen on the Pro model. Both phones have two motorized “magnetic-lift” control buttons on the hand that can be retracted when not used. Similarly, the fingerprint sensor is placed on the phone’s hand.

Performance

The chipset is the most significant difference between the vanilla and Pro models. On the Pro model, Black Shark has included the new Snapdragon 888 SoC. The standard edition, on the other hand, comes with a Snapdragon 870 processor. To begin with, the latter is the Snapdragon 865/865+ from last year, but with a single-core speed of up to 3.2GHz.

A two-layered liquid cooling system is also included in the Pro model, which can dissipate 30% more heat. According to the business, it can lower the temperature of the CPU core by 18 degrees Celsius. The Black Shark 4 Pro has a maximum memory capacity of 16GB LPDDR5 (6400MHz) RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage.

The vanilla model, on the other hand, has a maximum of 12GB of LPDDR5 (5500MHz) memory and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. JOYUI 12.5 is pre-installed on the Black Shark 4 series, which is built on Android 11. Shark Space is one of the many features available to gamers.

Camera

The Black Shark 4 series also features a triple camera rig on the back. The regular model has a 48MP primary camera, while the Pro model has a 64MP primary camera. Aside from that, both phones have a 5MP macro sensor and an 8MP ultrawide sensor. A 20MP best selfie camera is located on the front of the phone.

Battery and others

The Black Shark 4 series has a 4,500mAh battery. Support for 120W quick charging has also been added by the company. As a result, you will go from zero to one hundred percent in just 15 minutes. These phones, unlike the mainstream flagships, do have a 3.5mm headphone port. The phones have dual-sim 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC, so you won’t have any issues with connectivity.
