DESIGN AND DISPLAY

The Mi 11 features a quad-curved Samsung amoled display with Corning Gorilla Victus glass cover and a 2K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 480Hz touch sampling rate. This screen is expected to be the latest Xiaomi flagship’s biggest selling point. It should be the best in the market right now in terms of parameters alone.

For the back panel, users can choose between anti-glare frosted glass and vegan leather. The glass version is thicker than the vegan options, but it weighs less. The Mi 11’s in-screen fingerprint sensor is said to be capable of heart rate tracking. Xiaomi, on the other hand, has not given any additional information about the new functionality.

PERFORMANCE

This year’s Snapdragon 8 series has been dubbed the Snapdragon 888 instead of 875. 888 has a strong resemblance to the Chinese character for luck and wealth. Let’s see if 888 will bring good fortune to itself. The standard procedure is to examine the benchmark first.

The chip received a score of 690,000 in the AnTuTu Benchmark test and 5500 in 3DMark. These results are almost identical to those of the Kirin 9000. From this point on, you can see that the peak performance of both Chips is nearly indistinguishable.

However, it was obtained at the expense of heating, and it can become extremely hot during extended periods of high-intensity gaming. The overall output is excellent, but the power consumption is extremely high. When the CPU gets too heavy, only the Kirin 9000 in the Mate40 series chooses to downclock it. Xiaomi’s Snapdragon 888, on the other hand, takes a more defensive approach, allowing it to keep the CPU running at its optimum strategy for longer periods of time at the expense of overheating.

CAMERA

The phone has a triple camera configuration in terms of photography. A 1/1.33” sensor is used in the 108MP primary camera on the rear. Pixel binning is responsible for 11.6 million pixels. Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) is assisted by the primary camera, which can capture up to 8K images. A 13MP ultra-wide camera with a 123-degree Field of View is included (FOV).

A 50mm telephoto-macro lens is also included. A 20MP selfie camera is housed within the left-aligned circular cutout on the front.

BATTERY

A 4600 mAh battery is used to power the Mi 11’s 2k 120 Hz panel. The majority of users would be worried about whether the device’s battery life will be an issue. In our analysis, we put the phone through its paces with some demanding games.

When charged with the 55w GaN Charger, it goes from zero to 43 in 10 minutes, 95 in half an hour, and 100 percent in 40 minutes. Xiaomi’s 50W air-cooled wireless charging dock is available for purchase if you’re interested in wireless charging. Charging time is almost equal to that of wired charging.
