Oneplus Nepal has announced a new mid-range phone, the Oneplus Nord N10 5G, following the success of the Oneplus Nord in the premium midrange sector. It’s a slightly less expensive variant of the Oneplus Nord. Let’s look at the Oneplus Nord N10 5G in greater detail, including its pricing and availability in Nepal.

DESIGN

The OnePlus Nord N10 5G boasts a strong mid-range design that is heavily influenced by the Nord. While the N10 5G is significantly larger (by a few millimeters on each side), it’s nearly identical to its mid-range predecessor — with the exception of a few features.

The N10 5G includes a left-side volume rocker and a right-side power/lock key, but no alert slider, which every other OnePlus phone has to switch between quiet, vibration, and loud modes. It’s a bit of a miss, but it serves as a reminder of the compromises made to keep the N10 5G’s price low.

DISPLAY

The 6.5-inch LCD display of the OnePlus Nord N10 5G is ideal for viewing videos or playing games. Its 20:9 aspect ratio makes it taller than some other mid-range phones, but even competitive mid-range phones like the Pixel 4a 5G, with its 19.5:9 aspect ratio, are only slightly broader in size.

The LCD display of the N10 5G differs from the 6.44-inch AMOLED display on the basic OnePlus Nord.

The N10 5G keeps the 90Hz refresh rate of its predecessor, which is a notable benefit, especially if you’ve used OnePlus phones before: Smooth screen, which is more useful for swiping through applications and surfing sites than for gaming or viewing videos.

If you want to preserve the battery, you may set it to 60hz (the norm on phones).

The Full HD Plus (1080 x 2400) resolution and LCD work together to provide a balanced picture: unlike other OLED panels, the dark areas are adequately matched with surrounding color, however it lacks the stunning brilliance of other OLED panels.

CAMERA

Some of the cameras on the OnePlus Nord N10 5G are carried over from the basic Nord, however others are missing. While both phones feature quad cameras with a primary, ultra-wide, and macro lens, the megapixel count differs — the Nord sports a 2MP depth camera, while the N10 5G opts for a 2MP monochrome sensor.

The N10 5G’s primary camera is a 64MP f/1.79 (0.7m pixel size), which has more megapixels but a lower pixel size than the Nord’s 48MP f/1.59 (0.8m pixel size).

However, it works in a similar way, with a ‘pixel-binning’ option to take either a 64MP photo (excellent for printing huge images) or a 16MP shot with HDR for the best dynamic color and lighting range.

In daytime photographs, you’re unlikely to see a difference, hence the question is whether you need such a dense-data photo: A 16MP photograph of the same subject weighed in at 9MB, while a 64MP shot of the same topic weighed in at 22MB.

PERFORMANCE

To begin, that’s much less than the Nord’s Snapdragon 765 processor and 8GB of RAM. As a result, we predict lower performance, especially when compared to mid-range phones with Snapdragon 765 processors, like as the Pixel 4a 5G. The N10 5G outperforms the Pixel 4a 5G in basic benchmarks, with a Geekbench 5 score of 1847 compared to the Pixel 4a 5G.

The Nord N10 5G kept up with me whether I was binge-watching Netflix or playing intense video games. It’s one of the first Snapdragon 690-powered 5G phones we’ve tested, and it’s proven more than adequate, with only the occasional hiccup when switching applications stopping it from being a perfectly flawless experience.

For the record, our Nord test device (with 12GB of RAM) had a slightly higher Geekbench 5 score of 1877 – still not enough to justify the N10 5G’s absence of a Snapdragon 765 CPU.

The Nord N10 5G is a 5G phone that can connect to sub-6 5G networks, which most carriers now offer — with the noteworthy exception of Verizon’s mmWave network in the United States.

BATTERY

The OnePlus Nord N10 5G boasts a good 4,300mAh battery, which is higher than the Nord’s 4,115mAh battery and significantly higher than the Pixel 4a 5G’s 3,885mAh battery, but lower than some other mid-range phones – the Motorola One 5G, for example, has a 5,000mAh battery.

Thankfully, the Nord N10 5G comes with a WarpCharge 30T fast charger, much like its more expensive siblings. In 30 minutes, the phone went from a dead battery to 55 percent capacity.

The 30T may pale in contrast to the OnePlus 8T’s 65W charger, but a 30W maximum charging capacity outperforms comparable mid-range phones: the Motorola One 5G, for example, recharges at 15W.
