Samsung’s new A-series offers an array of color options that are very pleasing to the eye. It also has an IP67 score, which was a pleasant surprise because it’s a completely unique feature for a phone in this price range. Even more expensive phones, such as the Mi 11X Pro or the OnePlus 9R, lack any kind of ingress security.
In any case, one big criticism leveled at this phone by some users is that it has a plastic back and frames. However, in my experience, this matte back does not feel cheap, and the construction is sturdy. There aren’t any cheap creaks or anything like that. However, since plastic is plastic, it is easily damaged and discolored over time.
This AMOLED screen is also bright, the auto-brightness function is excellent, and the colors and touch response are excellent. The in-display fingerprint sensor isn’t the quickest, but it’ll suffice if you disable the animation.
When the Galaxy A52 was first unveiled, another highlight was its 90Hz refresh rate, but I guess that’s no longer a highlight considering the cheaper Note 10 Pro has a 120Hz refresh rate AMOLED panel.
As a result, the expected fineness of scrolling through the UI on a 120Hz screen in phones like the Note 10 Pro Max is significantly improved. But when it comes to actual results, the Galaxy A52 outperforms the competition, which is surprising given that the Note 10 Pro Max has a Snapdragon 732G chipset that is technically superior.
- Core octa Snapdragon 720G SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC Qualcomm (8nm)
- 128/2256GB storage, up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM (expandable)
- Samsung’s One UI 3.1 on top of Android 11
As a result, considering the Snapdragon 720G’s shortcomings at work, Samsung has optimized One UI to run better and smoother. Even after downloading over 50 applications, we haven’t experienced any lags or signs of slowing down on this phone.
You’ll get a better picture overall with its 64MP primary sensor, whether it’s in terms of color science, data, or dynamic range. Plus, thanks to its 12MP camera, it takes better ultra-wide images.
At the back, there’s a quad-camera setup (64MP primary, 12MP ultrawide, 5MP portrait, and 5MP macro) and a 32MP selfie camera hidden within the punch-hole cutout.
