Online Bluebook Renewal Service to Start in Nepal

Bluebook is a little book pad that contains information on the vehicle, its owner. It is critical for both the owner and the driver. Bluebooks, also known as billing books, should be renewed on an annual basis.

BlueBooks can now be renewed through online method. Renewal, as well as payment of car tax, fines, and other fees, can all be done online.

BLUEBOOKS ONLINE RENEWAL SERVICE TO BE INAUGURATED TODAY

The service will be inaugurated at 11 a.m. in the state capital of Hetauda by Chief Minister Dormani Poudel. The program will be formally launched by giving a test and demo of the services associated with the online system, according to Sanjiv Baral, Secretary at the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development.

These services would be accessible through the ministry’s website and citizen app. The state government has created a separate Transportation Management Information System for this purpose.

Simultaneously, the Transportation Management Office and Service Office of the Bagmati State Government’s Ministry of Physical Infrastructure will now be accessible on the internet.

Electronic payment can be done through:

  • mobile banking
  • national and international payment cards (debit and credit cards)
  • e-money (wallet), and internet banking

The state government, on the other hand, had announced that this system will be introduced on July 8. However, the system is now complete, with full technical preparation and payment capability. 

Bluebook Renewal Fine in Nepal

There’s some information on how much of a fine you’ll have to pay to renew your bluebook:

  • Up to one year from the date of expiry: Rs 200
  • Rs 400 for two fiscal years
  • For three fiscal years: Rs 600, and so on for five fiscal years in a row.
  • If you haven’t paid your vehicle registration for five years, it will be cancelled.

LATEST APP UPDATE

The “vehicle tax” feature was added to the citizen app in the most recent release. You can acquire information on your car, as well as information about previous taxes paid and taxes outstanding. The option of making an online payment will be available under the tax due as of Friday. The service, which will begin in Bagmati, will now be extended to transport management and service offices in other states.
