DESIGN AND DISPLAY

There are two design options for this exercise tracker. Two band types, to be precise. The standard TPU wrist band is pre-installed, while the metal-buckle strap is not. This metal buckle helps users to change the wristband in both directions.

The Oppo Band Style has a 1.1-inch full-color AMOLED screen with a resolution of 126 x 294 pixels. It also comes with a 2.5D curved surface and scratch-resistant glass. The Apollo 3 chipset is at the heart of the unit, which has 16MB of storage.

On the Band, Oppo has done a decent job with the user interface. The UI is smooth and engaging thanks to the AMOLED monitor and strong touch response time. When you tap once on the home screen, a screen appears that displays connection status, DND mode, battery status, steps taken, calories, day, and date.

MONITORING

Continuous blood oxygen (SpO2) level tracking is an interesting aspect to search for in this fitness tracker. During an eight-hour sleep period, the Band Style will track the blood oxygen level 28,800 times, according to Oppo. This entails recording SpO2 per second for eight hours.

The band, on the other hand, is programmed to detect sleep issues. For a deeper comprehension, it keeps track of your sleep duration and level. There’s also a real-time heart-rate sensor and a Fat Burn feature to consider. These features allow you to keep track of your heart rate during workouts and assess your fat-burning ability. Oppo Band Style is currently compatible with Android devices.

When it comes to heart rate monitoring, the band can take readings every 6 minutes, every 2 minutes, and every second, or you can turn it off in the app and use it manually when appropriate, which saves battery life. You may also set a heart rate warning to warn you if your vitals rise above a certain threshold whether you’re sleeping or working out.

OTHER MODES AND BATTERY

It also has a total of 12 exercise styles. This covers, for example, outdoor running, indoor running, and cycling. It works with the HeyTap companion app and has 40 watch faces to choose from. The band is powered by a 100mAh battery that can last up to 14 days. It takes about 1.5 hours to charge fully.

When the brightness was set to 100 percent, continuous heart rate, SpO2 tracking was set for a manual search, and alerts from just the phone app were switched on, the band lasted just over six days. When we enabled alerts from WhatsApp, Mail, and three other applications, as well as setting the heart rate sensor to constantly monitor, the battery life fell to only two days, which is disappointing.
